Dr. Nataliya Dmytriv

Chiropractor 

Registered Massage Therapist

Dr. Nataliya Dmytriv graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2016. She is also a received a diploma from Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2014.

 

Since then she has focused her continuing education on identifying and fixing biomechanical dysfunction, improving performance and preventing injury. Nataliya is using an evidence-based approach in her chiropractic and massage therapy practice. She utilizes variety of techniques to treat dysfunctions, which include, but are not limited to Muscle Release Therapy, Contemporary Acupuncture, Fascial Abrasion, Kinesiotaping, joint manipulation, cupping, and exercise prescription to treat dysfunctions.

 

In practice Nataliya has worked with professional and amateur long distance runners and triathletes, members of hockey and football varsity teams, as well as athletes from NHL.

 

At the moment, Nataliya sees patients with a wide variety of conditions, ranging from acute injuries to maintenance and supportive care of chronic disorders.
Dr. Nataliya Dmytriv is dedicated to delivering the highest quality care that is tailored to each individual’s needs.

Halyna is a graduate of Wellsprings College and Complementary Medical School of Canada. She holds a degree of Registered Massage Therapist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Provider.

 

​In her massage therapy practice Halyna utilized variety of techniques to improve the outcomes. Patients may be offered combination of cupping, stretching, gentle joint mobilizations, as well as exercise prescription with General Swedish Massage. Halyna strongly believes that massage therapy is a very important in injury prevention, rehabilitation, or relaxation. Therefore, she is continually looking for ways to expand her knowledge through continuing education.

 

As a Traditional Chinese Medicine Provider Halyna takes a holistic approach to patient care. She will be able to assess, provide TCM diagnosis and treatment plan in order to balance the function of the body. Halyna might use a combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping and gua sha to treat dysfunctions. Conditions include, but are not limited to anxiety, stress management, headaches, musculoskeletal pain, menstrual pain and neurological dysfunctions.

Dr. Nadeen’s passion for health and wellness began during her time at Queen’s University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (BScH) in Kinesiology. Continuing her academic pursuits, Dr. Nadeen earned her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Sports Medicine at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Her focus is on enhancing human performance through evidence-based chiropractic care, rehabilitative sciences, and performance training. Whether working with athletes or individuals seeking relief, Dr. Nadeen’s goal is to make a positive impact on their health and well-being.

Dr. Alexa is driven by her passion to help people reach their individual goals through a patient-centered approach, backed by current research and evidence. Using a variety of techniques including chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapies, cupping and acupuncture, she can tailor treatment plans to meet each individual’s needs. After earning her Bachelor of Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University, she completed her chiropractic education at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she gained experience in a wide range of clinic settings from family and low-income practices to sports rehab clinics. She looks forward to further growing her skill set and knowledge through continuing education courses.

John Darrel Balinuyus

Registered Massage Therapist

John graduated from Centennial College Massage therapy with an advance diploma in massage therapy. He treats a wide variety of age groups with acute and chronic musculoskeletal dysfunctions. John’s treatments consist out of finding the root of the problem rather than focusing on the symptoms itself. Therefore, he utilizes different assessments such as checking the range of motion, performing orthopedic tests, doing postural analysis and palpation in his treatments. John is an eager learner. He believes that there is always room to improve and grown your knowledge.  He took courses in Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization( IASTM) using Graston tool and dry cupping technique. John is proud to provide patients with a variety of massage therapy related issues an opportunity to reach their goals. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing client’s progression where their pain and tension are reduced and they are able to come pain free.

 

Working at Long Branch Rehab allows John to treat different age groups with a variety of complains ranging from stress to acute injuries. However, his preference lays in treating people with issues related to chronic work related stress, tension headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome and postural dysfunction which are prevalent to the general population.

Kristin Hodgen is a Registered Massage Therapist, Kinesiologist, Certified Athletic Therapist and Culinary Nutrition Expert. She is passionate about optimizing the health of those around her and prides herself on her eclectic and holistic approach to rehabilitation. She encourages the use of preventive, scientific-based sports medicine, along with living a balanced and active lifestyle to achieve whole body health.

 

Growing up involved in Orangeville, playing hockey, rowing crew, and practicing mixed martial arts, along with a developing interest for how the body moves, it was natural for Kristin to seek after a career that joined the passions. This led her to complete a Bachelor of Arts Specialized Honours in Kinesiology & Health Science with a Certificate in Athletic Therapy from York University and a diploma is Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health & Technology. Since graduation, she has pursued continuing education in lumbo-pelvic manual therapy, cranial sacral therapy, advanced concussion treatment, holistic/culinary nutrition, and aromatherapy, acupuncture and dry needling to further her knowledge.

 

Kristin enjoys being involved in both local and international sporting competitions. She has had the privilege to work along side elite athletes and fellow therapist for the following:

 

  • Ontario Summer, Winter & Para Games

  • 2012 student therapist for the National Ballet of Canada

  • Jr A Lacrosse and Hockey

  • CBC’s Battle of the Blades television show

  • 2015 PanAm Games (Equestrian)

  • 2017 Invictus Games

Martin Kovalakovski

Martin is a registered Physiotherapist who earned his MSc in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Scotland, UK. Additionally, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from Sheridan College in 2016.

Martin's treatment approach places a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices, client-centered care, thorough assessment and diagnostic skills, tailored exercise prescription, a hands-on manual therapy approach, and client education. With profound knowledge, Martin can assess, diagnose, and effectively manage both acute and chronic neuromusculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

Having grown up in Europe and Canada, Martin has a background in competitive soccer during his teenage years and has been involved in strength training from an early age. He is dedicated to lifelong learning, best practice development and education, and he is also passionate about coaching.

Kaitlyn Swartz is a highly skilled and dedicated therapist with a special interest in women’s health and well-being. Academically, she completed a Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor, and an Honours Bachelor degree in Applied Health Sciences- Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College.

Kaitlyn continued her education by completing the Advanced Standing Massage Therapy program at the Ontario College for Health & Technology. Further expanding her horizons, she earned her Master in Physiotherapy Studies from the prestigious University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Kaitlyn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

As a passionate therapist, Kaitlyn is committed to facilitating optimal healing, ensuring her clients swiftly return to their favourite sports and daily activities. Her philosophy revolves around treating the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms, making her an invaluable asset to those seeking holistic and effective therapeutic solutions. Specializing in assessing and treating injuries to joints and soft tissues, Kaitlyn believes that the healing process extends beyond the clinic walls. In addition to in-clinic treatments, she provides personalized exercises and self-care advice, empowering clients to take an active role in their recovery journey.

Matt's journey in health care began with wanting to understand the human body, how it functions and learning how to rehab injuries that prevent others from doing what they love. Matt's love for sports brought him to pursuing a bachelor degree in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. Since graduating he has continued his education by obtaining a diploma in Massage Therapy at Ontario College of Health & Technology.

​

Matt has worked with many acute injuries while working on different sports teams including, soccer/ ice & field hockey/ basketball/ football and rugby. He has also obtained a lot of clinical experience working with individuals who struggle with more chronic related conditions. Since beginning his career in massage therapy, Matt has worked with both the general public and athletes. Providing care for those with acute injuries, chronic pain, stress related symptoms, muscular fatigue, maintenance and relaxing swedish massage. He will always provide individualized treatment plans aligned with the clients needs and treatment goals.

Matt's goal as a therapist is to use his experience and evidence based practice to identify/treat the cause of pain. During treatment you can expect orthopedic testing, tissue assessment and performing manual techniques. Matt is eager to continue expanding his education by taking courses to further broaden the techniques he can use during treatment.
